Cabinetry 1: Building A Carcass & Face Frame

The first step in building cabinets is constructing the "box" or carcass. In this, hands-on, class you will learn the proper techniques to create a strong and durable cabinet carcass. Joinery and assembly techniques for most cabinet applications will be discussed. The Kreg Jig will be demonstrated and used for the face frame assembly. Each student is responsible for supplying their own tape measure, steel rule, adjustable square, pencils or other marking device, notebook, safety glasses and hearing protection.

Cabinetry 2: Building Stile & Rail Doors

In this class, you'll learn to make stile and rail cabinet doors. Students will take home their completed doors. As in most cabinet making, the table saw and router table are the main tools used for door construction. Each student is responsible for supplying their own tape measure, steel rule, adjustable square, pencils or other marking device, notebook, safety glasses and hearing protection. Students must bring the cabinet carcass they made in the Cabinetry 1 class.

Cabinetry 3: How To Build Drawers

Drawers can be one of the trickiest parts in the building of cabinets. In this hands-on class, students will learn techniques used to build strong, dependable drawers for your home or workshop cabinetry. Most of the work will be done using just a router table and a table saw, but the instructor will cover other tools as well. Each student is responsible for supplying their own tape measure, steel rule, adjustable square, pencils or other marking device, notebook, safety glasses and hearing protection. Students must bring the cabinet carcass they made in the Cabinetry 1 class.
