This is a private class for Ingrid, Joyce, and Nikki. Please give us a call if you'd like to schedule a private woodworking, cabinetmaking, turning, CNC machining, or carving class for yourself! Rate: $300/day and does not include materials (tuition can be split between 2-3 students if you know someone who'd be interested in attending with you).
Join us for this class to make a special gift for the mother in your life! In this session, students will use the lathe to turn a potpourri dish/catch-all tray that features one of our pewter filigree lids. We'll have gift bags available at no charge for students who want to keep the gift a surprise. Kids and adults welcome; minimum age: 12.
This class is designed for beginners who want to learn how to safely use the core tools of the wood shop. During the first half of the class, we will focus on how to properly flatten and size lumber using the table saw, jointer, and planer. Once the material is flat and square, we will discuss glue up methods as we join the material to create a cutting board. The second half of the class will focus on safely using the router and router table to shape the board and apply a decorative edge. Students will leave with a completed cutting board and a great foundation for starting their woodworking journey!
