Learn to make a charcuterie board with a handle from a slab of wood. Start from a rough piece and finish with a piece ready to serve cheese and meets from. Using a table saw, sanders, and router.
In this course the student will learn to identify the different types of scroll saws and blades while gaining an understanding of which blade is used for which material. The student will also learn the basic operating principles of the scroll saw including changing blade tension, blade speed, and table angle. Learning proper safety including basic shop safety, personal safety, and safe procedures using the scroll saw will be stressed. This is a hands on class where the student will learn how to make different types of cuts and make some simple projects that can be taken home.
