Minimum Age 18. This class builds on the foundations established in our Fundamentals class taking your woodworking skills to the next level. With the aid of major power tools and the Leigh jig, you will build a dovetailed blanket chest with lifting top and decorative feet. Joinery, wood preparation and lamination are a key focus. This is an intermediate level class requiring completion of "Fundamentals of Woodworking" as a prerequisite. Stop in to see examples of your finished product.

Lumber Milling And Prep

Minimum Age 18. Learn the steps of dressing rough lumber into finished stock for final project use. This hands on class will address cupped, warped and bent stock, controlling snipe, tapering boards when desired and the differences between helical and straight knife cutter heads.

Minimum Age 18. Small boxes have a wide variety of uses and make excellent gifts. They can be carved, accented with inlay or highly figured woods and decoratively changed with the router. In this class you will make a box using mitered joints and spline construction.
