Learn spindle turning on the lathe by making a small pepper grinder. This project will introduce roughing a blank round, turning coves and beads as well as sanding on the lathe. To finish up, students will learn to apply simple friction polish finishes.
Learn to machine cut dovetails using the Porter Cable 4212 Dovetail Jig. This seminar will cover layout, jig setup, bit selection, and the 5 joint types that the 4212 can produce.
