14" Steel Frame Bandsaw - 1-3/4 HP 1 Ph 115/230V - JWBS14-SFX
I love this saw. I use it almost every time I'm in my shop. I saw someone else give it a 1 star because of the fence. The fence is completely adequate for resawing or any other fence purpose. Only thing is you can't make precision adjustments, but I feel like most bandsaw fences are comparable. It has plenty of power to resaw walnut, oak, ash, purple heart and padauk that I've put through it. I'm about to buy a second saw just to keep a small blade in it for curve cutting.

14" Steel Frame Bandsaw - 1-3/4 HP 1 Ph 115/230V - JWBS14-SFX
The saw is great. Easy to set up and change blades. The fenced however is the cheapest POC (piece of crap) I have ever seen. Not sure why you would build a nice saw and then engineer something so rinky dink for a fence. I do not recommend because of this.

14" Steel Frame Bandsaw - 1-3/4 HP 1 Ph 115/230V - JWBS14-SFX
This saw is the first piece of floor-standing shop equipment I’ve purchased brand new. All of my previous big tools over the years have been purchased used. Out of the box, I am pretty disappointed with the new saw experience, but I am reasonably confident it can be fixed up to be okay. The first disappointment came during the unpacking. The cast iron table had a scratch in it deep enough that my fingernail can catch it. Several of the panels had paint drips and runs on them. Overall, the fit and finish upon first examination were unimpressive. The next disappointment came when I started adjusting the upper bearing guides. Without providing too much force to the screw on the back of the upper guide mount, I heard a “popâ€

14" Steel Frame Bandsaw - 1-3/4 HP 1 Ph 115/230V - JWBS14-SFX
I recently bought this bandsaw and everything about this bandsaw is great EXCEPT for the cast iron table. The slot where the blade goes in has a slight lip so when I push wood through, it goes through a small bump. I'm powermatic /jet guy and haven't minded paying the premium for the quality vs other brands. The quality control isn't there for a precision wood working machine. I put a video of the cast iron table below. https://youtu.be/uw5c22Fr7eg

14" Steel Frame Bandsaw - 1-3/4 HP 1 Ph 115/230V - JWBS14-SFX
Set up of the bandsaw was relatively simple. The packaging was neat, and assembling the base stand, mounting the bandsaw on the base, and mounting the table were all simple to do. The saw is very easy to adjust and has plenty of power. My first use was on cutting poplar logs into boards and the blade (using a 5/8" timberwolf) cut through like butter

14" Steel Frame Bandsaw - 1-3/4 HP 1 Ph 115/230V - JWBS14-SFX
I purchased my Jet at Woodcraft in the Kansas City area...a tip of the hat to the staff -- great staff! Setup is easy, just use your head and don't sweat the minor differences that seem to plague a lot of complainers who seem to just want to vent worthless comments instead of overcoming the issues. Such as the two lower screws for the upper dust collector are very (very) hard to start by hand. Just cut a slot in the bottom edge of the plastic chute screw locations, then hand start the lower screws into the unit. Now, slide the dust chute over the screws by-way of the slots you cut. Shorten or use a ball-end Allen wrench to tighten the screws. (or find two screws that better suit the tools you have on hand) No biggie --- there are some other issues but seriously --- if you're buying a bandsaw of this quality and size, obviously you have a few handyman skills . . . use them. I would recommend the Wolverine blades (no blade with sale). Resawing is awesome. Cuts are very smooth and accurate. The 116" blade length and large motor allow for a cooler blade temp on long cuts and plenty of power. I would recommend a moveable stand. I purchased the WEN moveable stand, works great. (500lb capacity stand) Lighting is a must. OK, I am getting older and extra lighting is a must. Special note: I have a large Delta table saw and the table T guide slots are the exact same size as the Jet Bandsaw T slides. So I can use most of my jigs and guides that I have already created on the Jet with no problem. All in all -- This saw (which is now known in my shop as Big Ben) is above par from a lot of the other bandsaws of comparable size. One draw back is blade setup takes a bit of time -- maybe longer than other brands -- however if you pay attention, and use the "Snodgrass" method of blade installation the only bottom adjustment would be the thrust bearing when changing blades. Happy Sawing :)
