I was disappointed in the gun metal version of this pen kit. I had made a Tenacious pen in the chrome version and someone requested one in gunmetal. I went to the West Atlanta store and bought the kit there. I was surprised that it was nearly twice the price of the Slim Style pen that also comes with Schmidt works inside, but that was what was requested. Did not study the kit until after I turned the barrel and was ready to assemble the pen. Much to my surprise, 2 parts of the pen, that are seen, are chrome and not gunmetal. I pulled up the kit on the website, and that is how it is shown, but it really looks strange. I then checked the Slim Style on the website, and it shows that all of the parts of the gunmetal version have a gunmetal finish. If they can do it on the pen that cost about half as much, why didn't they do it on the more expensive one? I have not delivered it to the person who wanted it, so I am waiting to see if they will reject it.
