Detailing a woodcarving? Trimming some burr material or cutting metal? Our WoodRiver® Carbide Burr Set will handle both jobs with confidence and precision.
You get 20 burrs – 10 double-cut and 10 single-cut in profiles, including balls, pointed cones, rounded cones and cylinders. All the burrs are approximately 1-7/16" in length, with the cutter length varying with the burr type, and all with 3mm heads (or smaller) and shanks. 3mm shanks?
Don’t panic! They’ll fit 1/8" collets in all the popular rotary and flex shaft machines on the market. We consider this set as a must-have around the shop, because it switches so easily between wood and metal.

Carbide Burr Set - 20 Piece
We picked these burrs you for a project we’re doing for a client. The positives - cut and remove wood cleanly and efficiently. A nice assortment of burrs. This would be A go to set but unfortunately we are returning this set. The ONLY con - the shaft of these burrs is .116 instead of .125. It is advertised as a 1/8 shaft but it is not. The burr will not stay in a 1/8 collet on our foredom hand piece. Really like these but this is a manufacturing problem. We called wood craft and they put some they had on their calipers and they were .118. Seems like a quality control issue. It’s a shame. These are really nice burrs but they are not usable in a foredom hand piece. Other hand pieces may work but just know the shaft is undersized.
