Built two large size. Worked out well. You have to make the groove for the wire a little deeper

Fragile wire breaks easily. Going to be difficult to clean, wire twist will hold food. Full inch or more of surface not useable. Woild not sell or give as gift. 4Pack of extra wires available, $ plus steep postage fee

The instructions were a little challenging to work through and sometimes had to read between the lines while positioning the parts relative to the base board to see how they all worked together but finally got it done. An explanation on how and what tensions the cutting wire would have been helpful. Once you work it all out the design of the metal frame and how it works to tension the cutting wire becomes appreciated.

I bought 5 of these to make as gifts. As many reviews note, the metal frames needed bent farther to make assembly line up right and apply tension to the wire. And I had to grind a bevel on the ends to allow the wire loop to slip over the frame end to eliminate binding during insertion into the wood hole. I also found that the wire wrapping should be cut closer and sealed with a drop of glue as has been suggested to eliminate users' finger cuts or pokes. These are a nice gift kit, but be prepared to do a little extra work. They are not a plug-and-play quick build... at least according to my build standards.

Instructions could have been better. I went back to the store and one of the workers had just built four and said it was a piece of cake. It helped but I still had to figure some stuff out. The hole that you drill must be perfectly perpendicular to the slit or the wire won’t go in the slot.
