Details
Turning bowls and power carving are great ways to relax, but sweeping up chips and breathing clouds of wood dust are not. Use the WoodRiver® Dust Connection™ Tabletop Dust Collector to pick up dust and chips at the source. The huge 12-3/4" tall x 16" wide opening captures nearly all the debris from these operations as well as working great with sanders, miter saws, and radial arm saws. The large opening funnels to a 4" dust collection fitting.

Tabletop Dust Collector
It does a good job of gathering floating dust out of the air. However you need a powerful vacuum to really get sawdust and chips. The normal shop vacuum (2 1/4"-2 1/2") barely works with this. Hooked up to my 4" vacuum works a lot better. I can imagine an industrial multi-horsepower 6" with a reducer might really be something.
