The WoodRiver® Ultimate Cabinetmaker's Kit includes the three planes preferred by cabinetmakers: the WoodRiver V3 #4 plane for smoothing, the WoodRiver V3 #6 Foreplane for joining work, and the WoodRiver Low Angle Block Plane for trimming end grain and doing on-the-spot trimming.

The WoodRiver® V3 bench hand planes— #4 and #6—are based on the classic, time-tested Bedrock design and feature heavy stress-relieved ductile iron castings, precise machining, and thick high-carbon steel plane blades. The original Bedrock Planes have proven to be among the most enduring, collectible tools in all of woodworking, and for good reason—they work. Although not faithful reproductions, as inspired interpretations of these classics, the V3s are their modern equivalent.

Our WoodRiver® Low Angle Block Plane traces its ancestry back to the Stanley's #65 and #18. The Low Angle Block Plane utilizes the classic knuckle lever cap design with improvements where necessary for added strength and improved function. The resulting tools offer extraordinary performance and unsurpassed value.
