Adirondack Chair

Part 2: Sunday, March 2, 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Build this adirondack chair with the included template kit. You will use the table saw, jointer, band saw and router table to build this comfortable chair. At the end of this two day class you will leave with a completed chair ready for finish and template kit to build additional chairs, Dave will also discuss various finishing options. Chair will be built with weather resistant wood.

Basic Hand Cut Joinery

Monday, March 3, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

If you’re interested in hand tools and hand cut joinery, this series is for you! Take one or all, at your own pace and in your own order. Starting with the basics, this class will teach proper handsaw use and care. We will run through drills and warm ups used to insure you get a good straight cut when you are making your joints. This half day class is a prerequisite for all the Intermediate level joinery classes, but can also be taken on its own to provide you with a solid background in any cutting by hand, from felling trees to flush cutting dowels. Tuition includes a gents handle dovetail saw that will be used in class and will make a good starting point for any beginner hand saw aficionado.

Turning A Traditional Pepper Mill.

Friday, March 7, 9:30 AM - 3 PM

Everyone needs a Pepper mill and they make a useful piece of tableware! During this class you will learn spindle turning, finishing and drilling techniques and various mounting methods required to make the pepper mill. A 10% discount is granted to each student on most hand and lathe tools as well as accessories on the day of the class.
