Free Pinewood Derby Workshops

We’ve just created eight Pinewood Derby Workshops for kids and adults who don’t have the tools to shape their cars. These sessions are FREE to attend, but you’ll need to bring your own car kit or purchase one here for $10. Please note: minors must be accompanied by an adult. All sessions will run 4:30-6:30 PM on the following days: - Wednesday, May 22 - Thursday, May 23 - Friday, May 24 - Wednesday, May 29 - Thursday, May 30 - Saturday, June 1 - Wednesday, June 5 - Thursday, June 6 Spots are limited in each session, so please give us a call ASAP at (423) 710-8001 to reserve your seat!

Students will learn the proper steps to make a pen, from cutting and turning to finishing and final assembly. Each student will turn a pen that they can take home to show off to friends and family. CAUTION: Pen turning can be very addictive!

Making a Custom Knife

Take this class to learn how to make a custom knife! Students will choose a knife blade, select from a variety of wood species for the handles, then work on attaching, shaping, sanding, and finishing the handles. Students will leave with a completed knife, ready to put to use.
