cNEW - In this highly demanded class, expert Bob Settich, will guide you through every step involved in making traditional face frame and frameless cabinets. After learning the advantages of each, you'll move on to project planning and material selection. The next step involves sizing the parts and assembly. You'll then discover how easy it is to make design changes within the same system. You will be able to get your hands on assembled examples of both a a wall and base cabinet to see every detail and answer all of your questions. Students will also learn several sure-fire methods of edge-banding plywood. You'll see see how these techniques empower you to make great looking doors, drawer fronts and shelves. Last but not least, Bob will show you installation techniques that let you conquer wavy wall and out-of-level floors. If you've ever wanted to learn cabinetmaking, this is THE class to take.

Mastering The Table Saw

Mike will discuss saw selection, fence and blade type, proper alignment and correct cutting techniques as students will be making some cuts on the saw. The discussion will also focus on techniques that ensure you get the best possible rips, crosscuts and miter cuts as well as covering special jigs and, above all, safety procedures.

Thin Stemmed Goblet

This class incorporates spindle turning techniques with some end grain hollowing. We will focus on proper cutting tool presentation to help you develop your spindle turning abilities, as well as, the chuck mounting techniques necessary when challenged with working on a piece that protrudes a few inches from the chuck. The resulting decorative thin stemmed goblet can be displayed or used as a wedding gift.
