Wild Wood, Liquid Color: The Hybrid Bowl

Combine the natural beauty of burl wood with colorful epoxy resin to create a unique one-of-a-kind bowl. In this hands-on two-day class, students will learn how to prepare the burl, create and pour an epoxy casting, safely turn the hybrid blank on the lathe, and sand and finish the completed bowl. Each bowl will have its own character, making every finished piece truly unique.

Intermediate Scroll Saw: Compound Cutting

Sunday, October 25, 2026, 10 AM - 2 PM

Learn how to make true 3-D shapes on the scroll saw using compound cutting techniques. In this class you'll choose from multiple ornament patterns to create a finished holiday piece. You will also create a jig you can use both during class and at home for additional projects. 10% discount on tuition if you take this class and the beginning scroll saw Maple Leaf class. Skills Series: Random Orbital Sander Basics

Get better results from one of the most commonly used tools in woodworking. This hands-on class covers sandpaper selection, grit progression, sanding techniques, dust collection, and how to avoid common problems such as swirl marks, scratches, and uneven surfaces. You'll learn how to sand efficiently and achieve a smooth, professional finish.
