In this intermediate wood working class you will gain hands-on experience while building a stunning, high quality, 72" x 38" table inspired by Pottery Barn furniture, The class tuition includes all materials. You'll start by hand-selecting lumber. Throughout the course you'll craft custom legs, mill the lumber, and finish the table to a smooth, professional standard. We'll use a variety of tools; table saw, router, planer and joiner. This table, originally priced at $2,200 at Pottery Barn , will be your own to showcase craftsmanship and style. Small design changes within reason and approved by instructor can be made to fit style of home/preference. Call and speak with Josh.

Beginning Bowl Turning

Come learn to turn a bowl. We will discuss the basics of bowl turning from wood selection, tools needed, to turning your own bowl. We will focus our turning on the fundamental aspects you need to know to get started in this fun and rewarding hobby.

Wood Carving Workshop

Wood Finishing Class

The finish matters. How you apply it matters. In this class, Matt breaks down the elements of commonly used product and techniques of wood finishing. This course covers - know your wood, surface prep, choice of application, wood coloration, wood conditioners, grains and pore fillers, and types of finishes.

Advanced Router Class

Saturday, June 28, 10 AM - 3 PM

The router is one of the most versatile tools in the shop. Whether you are a new router user or you've dusted off the cobwebs, this is a great class. Learn the ins and outs of router types, horse power, bit selection, proper safety, accessories, and jigs. Bring all those puzzling router questions to stump the teacher, and have a great time in this informative class. This is a hands-on class, so each student will have the opportunity to make several cuts and get comfortable using the router.

Segmented Bowl Class

Part 1: Friday, July 11, 9 AM - 4 PM

Part 2: Saturday, July 12, 9 AM - 4 PM

Part 3: Sunday, July 13, 9 AM - 4 PM

This class is designed to enhance your turning skills, creativity, and knowledge of determining sizes and cutting segments skills. The class is a 3-day class as laid out below: Day 1: Each student will be provided with the required slats for a segmented bowl with dimensions approximately 7 ½” tall x 10” in diameter. With the assistance of the instructor, each student will cut their segments and glue up their rings (approximately 9-10 rings and a bottom disk. Day 2: With the assistance of the instructor, each student will sand their rings using the Drum Sander. Once each student has sanded their rings, they will begin assembling their rings to form a bowl. We will let the bowl dry overnight. Day 3: With the assistance of the instructor, each student will begin turning and forming their bowl. This class will begin a 9am on Sunday. *These steps and days are not engraved in stone. If we have time during Days 1 &2, we will proceed to the next step.
