Turning a candle holder is a perfect spindle turning exercise. This class is great for beginners but all skill levels can benefit from Tyler's spindle turning instruction. Students will be able to take home a beautiful candle holder and leave this class with more spindle turning expertise!
Learn the basics of spoon carving using a few essential tools. There will be a detailed demonstration of carving a spoon with axe and knife from a log, with insights into techniques, tools, and materials. Each student will practice various knife grips and then carve their own spoon from a sawn blank with step-by-step directions. Decent hand dexterity is a must. $20 material fee (cash/check) payable to instructor at start of course.
