Bowl Turning

This class is designed to enhance your turning skills, and tool sharpening. The class will begin with Jesse providing safety tips and a quick recap of woodturning 101. This will lead Jesse to demonstrate how to properly sharpen a turning tool and scraper using the Wolverine Sharpening Jig. Each student will be taught the step-by-step procedures for laying out and turning a bowl. A set of instructions will be provided for future reference. The class will be using 4”x4”x2” block of wood (instructor’s choice). Whenever woodturning, it is always advisable to use a dust mask and face protection. If you have an Easy Wood Mid-Sized Hollower No.1 (Optional), bring it to class. This tool is a very versatile tool for all woodturning projects. This tool could be purchased at the Woodcraft Store. You will leave the classroom with a beautiful bowl. All material will be provided by the instructor.
