Learn to turn a unique artifact pot with Jesse! These pots are designed to look like old pottery which is enhanced by placing the pot in the microwave to give it an "aged" look.
Jim is our resident hand tool expert. He will show the students how to layout and cut dovetails using hand tools. The process is not as hard as one would think, and the students will go home with the confidence to create a box or drawer made the old fashion way, by hand.
Covers basic lathe operation, safety, lathe tools, sharpening and five practice exercises. This is a must class for anyone who wants to learn the art of woodturning. The instructor will guide you through the five hands-on turning exercises which are the basis for all lathe work.
