In this class students will learn pattern development from a photograph and how to transfer pattern to wood or paper. Learn the skill of shading build up, picking, and highlights to build an almost photo quality portrait. This is a two day class and has homework. Students will need their own woodburning unit, pens and tips.
Discover the fun of wood carving! Create your own carving of a Wood Spirit, Gnome, or Wizard. Learn about carving tools, basic cuts, sanding, detailing and more! Your tuition includes individual expert instruction and a carving kit with all the tools needed--wood blanks, pattern, tutorial, safety tape, pencil, sandpaper, and a first-class durable wood carving knife--yours to keep! Perfect for someone who is new to woodcarving—kids, teens, and adults—and makes a great date night or parent/child project.
Do you and your significant other want to learn basic wood working skills and have fun creating a one of a kind project together? We will provide the food, soft drinks, and materials. You only need to show up and be ready to make some saw dust. Projects will vary from month to month and will consist of small projects such as pens, bottle stoppers/openers, pepper grinders, etc. The tuition of $240 is per couple.
Creating intricate designs in your carvings takes special skills. We’ll show you the basic techniques to get you started on your chip carving journey.
The club is dedicated to helping people advance their woodturning skills. From novice wood turner to advanced bowl turning craftsmen, we have people who are glad to share their knowledge and experience. Regular monthly meetings are held 6:30pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month.
