In this class you will learn to turn and assemble an acrylic ballpoint pen. We'll provide tools and materials needed for you to fabricate a customized ballpoint pen.

Epoxy Casting- Make Your Own Pen

Part 1: Monday, March 3, 5:30 PM - 10 PM

Part 2: Tuesday, March 4, 5:30 PM - 10 PM

Join us for an immersive two-day workshop where you'll create your very own custom pen from start to finish using a lathe. On day 1: you'll begin by selecting your preferred color and epoxy to cast your unique pen blank from scratch. You'll learn the fundamentals of mixing, pouring, and using a pressure pot to ensure a flawless bubble-free casting. Day 2: After epoxy has cured we'll focus on the turning process. You'll shape the blank on the lathe, just like working with acrylic. We'll guide you through the steps of achieving a smooth, even finish, and conclude the workshop with a beautiful CA superglue finish that will give your pen a professional, glossy look. Whether you're a seasoned woodworker or a beginner, this hands-on class offers the perfect opportunity to craft a personalized pen that is truly on of a kind. All supplies are included.
