Using carbide tools you will bypass the use of traditional tools and learn techniques unique to carbide cutters and the lathe. “There's something very satisfying about using a tool you've crafted yourself". Join Phil in making a joiner's mallet weighted head and handle fixed to the head with a wedged tenon. The face is then covered with leather to avoid marring. The result is a weighted mallet you will find indispensable in joining wood together in your various projects. This project focuses on use of the table saw, including making a tenon on a handle, a drill press, and the miter saw.
