This will be an intro class for use of hand tools and an overview of what can be done with them. We will cover selection, sharpening, plane refurbishing along with the use of planes, spokeshaves, chisels, saws, scrapers, measuring and marking tools and more. We will cover four squaring boards, basic joints including dovetails by hand and how to cut curves. Come and learn the basics of hand tools for full builds or using them to supplement your power tools. The hand tools you will need will be covered the first night of class, but you can contact woodcraft@woodcraft306.com for a class list. Note: $15 materials fee payable to the instructor at the 1st class.
